 Opportunities at PBS

Last Friday we held a library party for all the volunteers who helped catalogue, sort and relocate the library. It took over 2 years and 100 volunteers and we did it! The celebrations continue as the PBS Radio Festival starts just next week. Did you know there’s still roles available if you can help. Wanna get involved? Just read down.  Here’s a short and sweet volunteer news, as it might not come out next week

PBS Radio Festival
Most opportunities have been nabbed for the annual fundraiser - PBS Radio Festival. Would you like to help out in the phone room? It's fun, and there's lots of great volunteers to meet. As of 8/5/2013 the following shifts were available:

SATURDAY 18/05/2013 9:30-13:30

THURSDAY  23/05/2013 7:00-9:30;            9:30-13:30

FRIDAY 24/05/2013 6:00-9:00;      7:00-9:30;              9:30-13:30

SATURDAY 25/05/2013 9:30-13:30 

Training is provided. Are you handy with a computer? Do you have good data entry skills? Do you have the gift of the gab and some time available for PBS? Volunteer to take memberships over the phone. Fill out this form, and have a pen ready so you can write down your shift times!

Lamine Sonko and the African Intelligence headlines the next installment of Rock A Bye Baby of 2013, a gig for adults and kids. Would you like to help out at this event? DO THE PBS ANNOUNCER COURSE IN 2013
June is just around the corner and we’ve still got spots left. If you always dreamed of being a radio announcer on community radio, dream no longer! Learn how to do this at the PBS announcer course.

We’re running the announcer course for the following dates:

3.    Once payment has been processed you’ll be confirmed in the class
4.    Turn up to classes and learn a lot!
