PBS volunteers have been busy! Helping out in the library, on the front desk, at PBS events and of course: ON AIR!

Love Jazz? How’d you like to answer the phone for Jim Macleod a legendary figure in the jazz scene in Australia - so legendary he won an OAM! Anyway, it's this Saturday for Jazz On Saturday. Email mara@pbsfm.org.au if you’d like to help out.

WOMEN FOR FAIR PLAY

Love soccer? Would you like to play to represent community radio stations PBS and RRR for a charity match where the funds go to disadvantaged kids in a third world country? RADIO FESTIVAL EARLY BIRDS

Phone shifts and or Membership Packing – would you like to help?

Radio festival is a great time to get involved at PBS. You get to meet many like-minded people and help out during the station’s major fundraiser. Would you like help pack some membership kits or take membership calls and enter them into the membership database?   Fill out this form to pick your shifts. Shift confirmations will be sent by April 26.

Help out as a Runner at a PBS Party

Help out at this party and support to the bar.

The duties are as follows:

1) Put water jugs on the bar with glasses

2) Ensure that the tubs are adequately stocked

3) Remove empties from around the space and put in recycling bin

4) Assist with washing glasses if necessary

5) Check on green room

6) Ad hoc assistance

ROCK A BYE BABY

Help out as an event hand for the next Rock A Bye Baby gig 

Helping at the PBS Rock A Bye Baby gigs mostly involves assisting parents, taking photos, talking to people about PBS, pusher traffic management, working the door and sticking up a few posters at the venue to advertise the event. Want to have a go at being a PBS announcer?
If you've never broadcast before, doing the announcer course is the first step.
We've got spots available for the announcer course in 2014:
