PBS Volunteer News 5-2014

We say thanks to all the beautiful volunteers who helped out during the PBS Radio Festival
They put the
FUN in fundraiser

To date, the PBS Radio Festival has been a success and a massive THANKS goes out to you - the fabulous volunteers handling the phones, taking the memberships, sending out the kits and more!
Although the on-air campaign is now over, it's time for us to handle the administrative aftermath. We're sending out renewals and membership kits.
We're running mailout days on Wednesdays 1pm-5pm until July 2. If you want to help out, email mara@pbsfm.org.au

If you loved volunteering

at PBS and want to continue to help out on a regular basis, you can easily sign up for that. Just email mara@pbsfm.org.au
We've got opportunities coming up this week including:

  • Mailouts on Wednesday at PBS 1-5pm &
  • Access helper at Rock A Bye Baby (Fitzroy Town Hall) 10:30am
  • Radio Festival admin aftermath  roles

If there's nothing there that suits you, how about volunteering for Reclink at Community Cup?

Classes are held at the PBS studios, 47 Easey Street in Collingwood from 6:30-8:30 on the dates you can see above. Our teachers are broadcasters, and we’ll provide training manuals. If you want to do the announcer course, please send a completed application post haste to hr@pbsfm.org.au. Enquiries can be directed to the same email address.

Fine Print Policies and Procedures
It is important for all volunteers and staff to be familiar with this. See the policies and procedures here and http://pbs.org.au/policy. The Policies and Procedures Handbook ensures that PBS remains in safe compliance with the Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. It also positions PBS volunteers, announcers and staff to operate with a shared, clear understanding of how things work at PBS. Please read it carefully. And if you’re inspired, why not consider becoming a PBS shareholder?
