The PBS Radio Festival will be held 16^th – 29^th of May and we'll be looking for people to answer phones, pack kits, be involved! It's a great chance to hang around, meet PBS folks and hang out. If you're really keen to get involved at PBS, fill out this EOI form.

APRA HELPER - BREAKFAST SPREAD - NOW

Is it your dream to sit in on a  breakfast radio show? Are you available from 6am to 9am sit in with The Breakfast Spread and help complete their APRA forms? We're looking for someone easy going but who can pay attention to details, with strong literacy and numeracy skills,  data entry skills and make the occasional coffee or tea for yourself, guests and colleagues. The All New PBS Archive 

PBS is turning 40 in 3 years time which means we should put our archive in order.  We've had some great volunteers help with the sorting, but now it's time to put it in our library database. Naish the excellent Librarian is in the process of organising the software and once that's sorted, we'll be ready to start trialling the system. If you're interested in the story of PBS, are good at data entry, have an organised mind and love to research, please email mara@pbsfm.org.au to express your interest.

One of PBS’s most committed volunteers is a guy named Chris Pearson. He volunteers in numerous roles behind the scenes, and he has a radio show called Pojama People. He'll be celebrating the 5th birthday of this radio program at Yah Yahs, and we're seeking a volunteer door person. Would you like to be apart of this night? With so many great bands how can you resist? If this is up your alley, and you have excellent people skills, cash handling skills  and relevant experience please email mara@pbsfm.org.au to secure this role.

The PBS announcer course is the first step to take if you want to be a PBS announcer. We're  running announcer courses for the following dates in 2016:

Mondays in July 4, 11, 18, 25 of July & 1st of August with Maddy Mac

Wednesdays in August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31st of August with Jen Crowley

Mondays in September 5, 12, 19, 26 & 3rd of October with Maddy Mac

Wednesdays in October 5, 12, 19, 26 & 2nd of November with Beth

Mondays in November 7, 14, 21, 28 & 5th of December with Jen Crowley

LOOK BACK ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

IWD was celebrated at PBS on Tuesday March the 8, and a stellar group of volunteers and artists and excellent people from the community came together to celebrate women on the day. Thanks to the great team on the day, thanks to Beth and Owen who coordinated team and THANKS to the wonderful women who contribute in front and behind the scenes at PBS
