of our most committed volunteers - thank you to Quinn and Elle for their time
on the PBS Reception desk and thanks to all that helped out to make PBS do what it does. If you'd like to
do more at PBS, we've got several volunteer vacancies coming up. Read on for more info:

Roles
PBS
reception is a great role to volunteer in. You get to meet people from all
walks of life, develop working relationships with PBS announcers and staff. Use
and improve your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be the
face and the center of PBS for the shift duration. A good phone manner
and confidence with using a computer, Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet is highly regarded. We’ve got a couple of
receptionist vacancies at PBS, and we’re seeking the right people who can
commit for at least 6 months. Would you like to volunteer as the PBS

HAVE FUN AND HELP OUT PBS DURING RADIO FESTIVAL |
Radio Festival Volunteering
PBS Radio Festival is the annual fundraising event where we ask our
listeners for financial support. It’s just around the corner and we need
wonderful volunteers to take phone calls, and enter memberships into a
membership database. Radio Festival runs from May 15-28,
and we have volunteer shifts around the clock. Good phone manner, strong data
entry skills, great communication skills, and an understanding of PBS are a
must. Do you think you could help? To
put up your hand to volunteer in the phone room, register
here.
If
you’d prefer to assist in the administrative volunteer roles on and after the

out, meet other people who love PBS in person and on the phone, and see radio

PBS Policies and
Procedures
It is important for
all volunteers and staff to be familiar with this. See the P&P here and http://pbs.org.au/policy.
The Policies and Procedures Handbook ensures that PBS remains in safe
compliance with the Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. It also
positions PBS volunteers, announcers and staff to operate with a shared, clear
understanding of how things work at PBS. Please read it carefully. And if
you’re inspired, why not consider becoming a PBS shareholder?
PBS acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we are located
and we pay our respects to them, their culture, and their Elders past and present
