Volunteer News 15 - 2013

Since last we wrote we’ve lost a few great people around PBS: Catherine Nicholls, Julien Huynh & Emily Cullin have left PBS to pursue new opportunities. Zack Rampage and Rob Ciolli have departed the grid. It’s always sad to lose great people, but in their absence new opportunities emerge for those who want to get involved…

Farewell & Welcome!

Welcome to all the new people who’ve come to help out! Bill G, Jenny T, Henry P, Tim C, Gilbert S, Marcus R, Amal M, Kate D, Dave H, Robbie C, Sarah P, Shari H, Ben C, Angela M, Neil P, Rachel A, Courtney Clarke of Smoke and Mirrors and Joshua Hodson Smith from Peeking Through TheWool.

Thanks for the overwhelming responses for the reception and music department roles. They’re now filled. However, we still have new opportunities coming up. Read on if you’d like to help out for any:

Fine Print Policies and Procedures

It is important for all volunteers and staff to be familiar with this. See the policies and procedures here and http://pbs.org.au/policy. The Policies and Procedures Handbook ensures that PBS remains in safe compliance with the Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. It also positions PBS volunteers, announcers and staff to operate with a shared, clear understanding of how things work at PBS. Please read it carefully. And if you’re inspired, why not consider becoming a PBS shareholder?
