Well June 30 marked the end of Radio Festival and this year’s major fundraiser garnered record results. It's no secret that it's the volunteers who put the FUN in fundraiser and the FESTIVE in Festival and y'all proved that at the wrap party! Without doubt, we couldn't have achieved those results without the amazing support of PBS volunteers. On air and behind the scenes: it took a community of people to make it happen and we thank you for your fabulous efforts. PBS Receptionist – Tuesdays 10am-2pm* taken
We’re seeking a Tuesday morning receptionist to handle the calls, emails and visitors, make studio bookings and undertake a range of administrative tasks. Strong telephone skills and experience using a computer database and the internet is a must. If you’re a people person, have confidence in office environment, or would like to develop these skills, are reliable, and would like to be around PBS, this could be the perfect volunteer role. This August 4th, seven piece Exotica outfit Slide Night will delight and charm audiences at our bi-monthly family friend event: Rock A Bye Baby. Rock A Bye Baby is a gig, held up at the Fitzroy Town Hall for parents, carers and children. We’ll need volunteers to help either on the door or to helping patrons enter and exit the building. Do you have skills and are looking for a creative project and to help out? PBS needs an Open Day poster that expresses our welcoming music community vibe and clearly communicates the messages of Open Day. The art would be used for a Facebook invite, web story, press release and for printing in the A3 size. Would you like to volunteer to do the poster for this year’s Open Day? Open Day - Many Roles
The PBS Open Day is a day in the year where we open our doors to the public to show them what we do. Now on a daily basis we don’t display/instruct what we do, we just get on with it. So Open Day is a little bit different and we’ll need your help to show the world just what we do and how we do it! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with a BBQ, making coffee and tea for guests, greet guests, running tours, operate studios, handling the merch table, as well as a photographer to capture the wonderful event:

The PBS announcer course is the first step to take if you want to be a PBS announcer. We're running announcer courses for the following dates in 2016:
Mondays in September 5, 12, 19, 26 & 3rd of October with Maddy Mac
Wednesdays in October 5, 12, 19, 26 & 2nd of November with Beth
Mondays in November 7, 14, 21, 28 & 5th of December with Campbell
