Helen Jennings and the rest of the team at PBS

And finally,  Congratulations Helen Jennings who celebrates 30 years on air at PBS, a sensational effort. Helen commenced broadcasting at PBS in 1987 and during that time she was actively involved at music at a grassroots level: Victorian Jazz Club, Melbourne Jazz Co-operative and went on to become a founding member of Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society. Helen also ran a  Promotions/Management/Publicity company, ran a label Blues Club Records, co-produced & programmed the Melbourne Blues Festival amongst many other things. A true music fan, switched onto music in her teens, who turned her passion into her vocation. Her volunteer work over such a long period of time has seen her become not just a influential selector in the scene, she's a PBS legend! Thank you Helen for sharing your passion for music with a community of listeners at PBS.

PBS acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we are located

and we pay our respects to them, their culture, and their Elders past and present
