PBS VOLUNTEER NEWS 3, 2019

After a highly competitive process, PBS found its new Interviews Coordinator in its ranks. PBS volunteer Alex Sims has been a committed music library volunteer since 2012 and presented Interstellar Overdrive since 2016.  Alex said “when I first laid eyes on the PBS building it had a familiarity like nothing else. It has been a thrill to be a volunteer and broadcaster at PBS for the past six years. I’m absolutely ecstatic to be able to join the staff at PBS.”

In other news, we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of PBS receptionist Justin Thomas, the 1 year anniversaries of radio programs The Modernist with Cas Castle,  Synthesize Me with Bridget Small and Henry GualaEternal Rhythm with Shio Otani, and the 5 year anniversaries of Club It To Death by Peter Bramley and Ron Dickinson's Magic Carpet Ride. We farewelled CC Disco, and welcomed Penny and her program Passing Notes and welcomed back Claire Stuchbery on Firewater.

As always, thanks to ALL the terrific volunteers who keep chipping away at all the things that need to be done at PBS. Welcome to our new volunteers, and thanks to all those who’ve put their hands up to volunteer.  If you're looking to volunteer at PBS, we have roles for you!
