Volunteer News 22nd June 2011

Thanks to all those who've helped out at PBS in the last 2 weeks! 

Whether you sent renewal letters,  membership kits, picked up the mail, distributed music to announcers, updated spreadsheets, programmed a show, applied for grants, greeted visitors and other volunteers, took photos, toured new starters, followed up on debts, made pom poms, reorganised cupboards, tidied the kitchen, watered the plants, researched music and so on... 

Your contribution has really made a difference...

Community cup is a great day for Melbourne. It's a shoddy footy match between the Rock Dogs[Melbourne Rock pigs] and the Megahertz [RRR & PBS players] to raise money for charity. There's bands, booze, community so come on down and come help out!

COMMUNITY CUP CHEERLEADERS-  WE NEED YOU! * Position filled! - 23/6/11
Band together with the guys and gals at RRR to cheerlead for the Mighty Megahertz at the Community Cup. This is a fun volunteer role and you get to dress up and motivate others through human movement. Contact monicahanns[at]pbsfm.org.au
COMMUNITY CUP BAR PEOPLE * Position filled! - 23/6/11
Selling booze for charity is a highly rewarding volunteer role. You get to make small talk with all kinds of people and help out at this great event. It is heaps of fun. Are you over 18 and would you like to help? Say YES! You might even get a souvenir T-shirt from Reclink... Email mara[at]pbsfm.org.au and tell her which shift you want.

We’ve got over 4,000 membership kits to send out and we've done just over half.We’d love your help to send out the rest. We’ve got a mail room running from 11am-6pm Monday to Friday. Would you like to volunteer your time and help out during this mammoth task? Email mara[at]pbsfm.org.au

END OF RADIO FESTIVAL PHONE HELP! * Position filled! - 23/6/11
The end of the Radio Festival is 29th and 30th June. The pay up date for members is 30th June. To win the car, they need to pay by the pay up date. That means PBS is inundated by last minute draw entrants. Help listeners become members by taking memberships over the phone.
