PBS VOLUNTEER NEWS 1, 2019

Hello good people of music-loving Melbourne!

We’re officially back and we’ve got a whole bunch of volunteer vacancies coming up. If you’re interested in being part of music community radio 3PBS this year, please consider volunteering. Just like last year, it's the team of volunteers who make this station the vibrant organisation it is and we salute you! In 2019, we’re looking for switched on people with a diverse range of skills and experience, who listen and care about under-represented music, Melbourne and community radio. Please see below and if there’s anything of interest, please let me know!

Drive Live EOIs

This February 4-8, we hold our week-long live music party, where three live bands play between 5-7pm. The station is open for listeners to attend, hear the music and be part of the fun.  We are seeking volunteers for Drive Live at PBS to assist as bar runners 4.40pm-7.30pm Monday to Friday.

Bar Runners – Monday to Friday
Runners provide support to the bar volunteers, picking up empties, topping up water jugs, washing glasses, and bringing clean glasses to the bar. It's a cruisy role, where volunteers have the freedom to see what's going on inside the studios, as well as help out.

To register your interest to volunteer for Drive Live or for more info email mara@pbsfm.org.au

PBS Policies and Procedures

It is important for all volunteers and staff to be familiar with this. See the P&P at http://pbs.org.au/policy.  The Policies and Procedures Handbook ensures that PBS remains in safe compliance with the Codes of Practice and other relevant legislation. It also positions PBS volunteers, announcers and staff to operate with a shared, clear understanding of how things work at PBS. Please read it carefully. And if you’re inspired, why not consider becoming a PBS shareholder? Check out https://www.pbsfm.org.au/governance  The AGM is held in November. For more information email gm@pbsfm.org.au
